JESUS THE IMMANUEL (Isaiah 7:14)
Christmas Day has arrived, and once again, a festive and joyful atmosphere takes over almost every city in the world.
Although we find reminders on the internet and even in the media that Christmas actually marks the birth of Jesus Christ, many people still haven't realized the true importance of this day.
God had prophesied this day several times in the Bible. One of the clearest prophecies was made about 700 years before Jesus was born:
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
• This Christmas, celebrate and worship Jesus, who was born according to God's promise and love, and who gave his life so that we could have life.
• This Christmas, teach children the truth about "Santa Claus": that he is a human invention, with absolutely no power to grant blessings or fulfill wishes.
• This Christmas, teach children that our requests should be made to Jesus, who has all authority in heaven and on earth and can do anything.
• This Christmas, turn your home into a place of worship to the Lord. Celebrate God, sing praises, give thanks, and celebrate the fulfillment of the greatest biblical prophecy: JESUS.
• This Christmas, remember that JESUS IS YOUR LIFE, YOUR JOY, AND YOUR PEACE — and so much more:
The Root of David, the Desire of All Nations, the Son of the Most High God, the King of the Jews, the Bright Morning Star, the Messiah, the Christ, the Savior of All Peoples, Wonderful, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, the Hope of Israel, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Lamb of God, the Redeemer, the Bread of Life, the Living Water, the River of God, the Eternal King, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, the Eternal Rock, the Chief Cornerstone, Immanuel, the Faithful One, the High Priest, the Word of Life, the Word of God, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last, the True One, the One who is Worthy, the Righteous Judge, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, the I Am, the Lord of the Harvest, the True Vine, the Deliverer, the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Resurrection, the Author of Life, the Anointed One of God, your Lord, your Savior...
